School Dates, Philoptochos and Other Events

On Thursday, June 20th at 7 pm, we will have a special presentation to hear from a clergyman with a unique perspective on worldwide Orthodoxy, especially the Church's presence in Africa.

Fr. James Hargrave is a Liturgical Translation Specialist. He is creating an introductory course in liturgical translation and developing exegetical tools for liturgical translators. Raised in Kenya, he has an academic background in translation and Linguistics. Prior to seminary and ordination, he and his wife Khouria Daphne served as long-term OCMC Missionaries with the Holy Archdiocese of Mwanza in Western Tanzania.

Fr. James holds an M.Div. from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and is pursuing an M.A. in Bible Translation in Orthodox Perspective through the Hellenic Bible Society. He is currently the Assistant Priest at St. Joseph the Damascene Antiochian Orthodox Church.

As it's a unique opportunity for us all, I hope you can make it.

God bless,

Fr. Tim
